Engagement | Trent & Savannah

Last month I met up with Savannah & Trent to shoot their engagement session!  I was super excited because this couple is so easy to photograph.  Savannah is absolutely beautiful & is willing to do anything!  She always comes to each session with ideas, which I love!  Trent is handsome & so easy going!  It works out perfectly :) The location they chose was gorgeous.  Beautiful place with beautiful views!  We took a ton of pictures - it was so hard to narrow down!

These last few pictures fit Savannah to a T!  They were all her idea!  And the chalkboard sign she is holding?  She drew the antlers herself!  We also used another sign that she hand drew & wrote their wedding date.  It was like something you would buy at Hobby Lobby (because you know they have the cutest stuff)!  Absolutely beautiful.  I told her I may get her to make some pieces for our home, ha!

tis the season to get married!

At every wedding I attend, help with, or photograph, I always go back in time to the day my husband & I got married.  I am sure that is what every girl that has ever been/is married does though?  When you think back, you don't think about the stress, the struggles, or the tears that lead up to that special day.  You think about all the happy moments that was made on that day!  You think about your first dance with the man you just said "I do" to, the laughs you shared with your girls while getting ready, or something funny that your ring bearer did.  True story - our adorable little ring bearer decided to stop halfway while walking & sit down in the middle of the aisle!  I could see what was going on from a distance.  I was laughing so hard & so was everyone else!  I remember seeing my future husband squat down, speak the little boys name, & then watch him run to my groom.  It was the cutest & funniest thing ever!  It definitely helped ease some of my nerves, ha!

As a bride, you want everything to be picture perfect.  Yes, people will remember some of the gorgeous details you worked oh so hard on, but what they will remember the most is how happy you two were.  They will remember watching you two laugh and smile at each other all evening long.

This Saturday is my first wedding of the year.  I look forward to the first kiss once they have said their "I do's", their first dance, & getting the newlyweds away from everyone else to take special pictures of just the two of them.  I get nervous & excited, just like the bride & groom!  Even when I have been a second shooter for another photographer, I feel the same way.  I may not be the best photographer in the world, but I strive to be the very best that I can be - for myself but most importantly for YOU!

Newborn | Nolan

At the beginning of April, I was asked to do a  newborn + lifestyle session.  I have always wanted to do a lifestyle shoot, so I was super excited!  Granted this was the first time I had done this type of session, but I felt like it helped the baby & everyone be more at ease.  We started off in baby Nolan's adorable nursery, then finished up downstairs!  He was such a handsome little boy, & his parents are sweet as can be!

I couldn't help but snap this real quick, as Nolan's body guard was keeping a close eye on him!

special announcement!

Last month one of my best friends, Ashton, asked if I would take pictures to help announce their pregnancy to the world - duh!  I felt super honored to be apart of this big moment.  Ashton & her family mean the world to me!  Their little girl, Ivy, is such a sweet girl - makes me even more excited for baby #2 in September!  Poor baby #2 doesn't even know yet how much the camera will be in its face!  Ivy had a blast smiling, making silly faces, & posing for me.  I could take pictures of her all day long, if she would let me.  Such a little model, I tell ya!

Newborn | Malaki

I am going to let you in on a little secret... I have secretly been dying to have the opportunity photograph this little family for forever now.  They are gorgeous & super sweet!  When the mother, Brittney, messaged me about doing her sons newborn pictures I may have squealed with joy!  I felt so honored that she would even ask me.  Needless to say, I can't tell you how excited I was for this session!  Her sweet little boy did great the entire time!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Senior | Madison

I recently had the opportunity to work with Madison, who is graduating high school this year!  Oh, such a sweet girl!  I can not say enough nice things about her.  She has such a kind & caring demeanor.  I know she will go far in life!  We took her pictures on her boyfriend's families land.  Oh my goodness, it was so gorgeous!  You know we had to sneak him into a few pictures as well!  Here is a sneak peak of her session :)

Engagement | Tony & Destinee

I was introduced to Destinee through a mutual friend (thanks, Megan!).  She messaged me about doing her & her fiance's engagement pictures.  Ah, engagement pictures!  What's not to love!?  Such a joyous & fun time for the couple!  I can not be more thrilled with the colors she chose from the two of them to wear.  Let's face it, 99% of the time, the woman is the one picking out everyone's clothes!

Destinee told me that Tony loves golf, so I knew I had to incorporate that into the session somehow!  I don't know anything about gold, but I told him to bring a few items.  I had a ring shot in my mind, & I am so happy to see it come alive!  What's even better than that?  While we were setting this shot up, Tony said, "yes!  I was looking forward to this part!"  It's always so nice to see the guy get excited during a session!  I absolutely love how it turned out!
